3 days, 3 quotes Challenge – Rejuvenation

For my second day of the 3 days, 3 quotes Challenge my quotes are all about Rejuvenation.  I recently wrote a series of 10 posts about rejuvenating yourself.  You can read the 10 Simple Ways to Rejuvenate Yourself series here.

I was nominated to take part in the Challenge by Mackenzie from reflections from me .  Yesterday, I posted my first day of the Challenge, and included quotes about Midlife.

3 days, 3 quotes Challenge – Rejuvenation

Finding ways to rejuvenate ourselves when we are feeling ‘blah’ is not as difficult as it may seem.  Taking time to be mindful in the present moment, helps us to reflect on what we have or what is happening right at this moment.  It helps us to clear our mind of daily interruptions and we can focus on ‘us’.  This quote from James Baraz, reminds me that our lifes are constantly changing.  We need to enjoy each moment and experience whilst overcoming our fears and realising that things will change.

reflection and mindfulness

Being grateful and taking the time to really focus on all the good in life is a great way to lift our mood.  It is also a positive way to start our day which helps set us up with a strong and happy mindset that can handle anything that the day throws as us.

gratitude

Socialising with others is another way to feel rejuvenated and alive.  We learn from others and also as this quote from Daisaku Ikeda says “opens up new and exciting possibilities”.  I love my quiet time but I also enjoy connecting with others.  Taking time out to catch up with friends and family makes us feel good.  We take time out of our day and our own problems to relax and enjoy the company of those that we love and value.

Make an effort to meet with people

    Hi Sue,
Thanks for including me in this challenge. Good thing I read more carefully, so as to provide three quotes each day! My theme for the three days will be the Summer Olympics. Rejuvenation is a great theme for yours, loved the quotes!

I love these quotes! It is so hard to take time for ourselves to socialize but it really does help. I just got back from a 4-hour lunch with friends I haven’t seen since May. I had SO much to do but I’m so glad I took the time. I feel so inspired now.

Oh a 4 hour lunch with friends sounds perfect Doreen! We are catching up with friends for lunch today so I’m looking forward to some laughs and good food and company. We need to take time out even when we don’t think we have the time

Yes it seems a cliche Lois but being grateful does make us happier. We get too caught up in life sometimes to realise how lucky we are. Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely quotes Sue – and the images were beautiful too. I pinned the one on mindfulness because it is so true – nothing lasts forever and that isn’t a bad thing in itself is it?

Thanks Leanne! No it isn’t a bad think that nothing lasts forever – if we keep that in mind we appreciate it more while we do have it and we also can look forward to other new experiences in life.
