Midlife Matters – 5 Quotes to Take back control of your life

In an earlier post I wrote about 6 Ways to take back control of your life.  We can all become busy and feel that life is just one big rollercoaster ride, but we also have the power to control our life or to accept what is out of our control.

I’d love to share with you 5 quotes which will help you Take Back Control of Your Life today!

Quotes to Take back control

Sometimes things happen to us which are out of our control, however we do have a choice.  Our upbringing and environment play a huge part in affecting our lives BUT we don’t have to accept that.  We have the power to choose who we want to be.

Quotes to Take back control

I think this might be my favourite quote.  So often, we look to others to make us happy or to change our lives.  It really comes down to YOU.  So stop waiting for that person to come and make your life better – you already know them – IT IS YOU.

Quotes to Take back control

How many of us actually enjoy the job we have?  We sometimes blame our problems on the job or lifestyle we have chosen but aren’t brave enough to make the tough decisions. We should be living our life doing what we want to do – our love – our passion. Until we can achieve that, happiness will escape us.

Quotes to Take back control

Life is full of habits but it is up to us to control what those habits are.  Making the choice to healthy habits into our life, such as regular exercise and healthier eating will give us the zest for living.  Incorporating a daily morning and evening ritual to bring calm and reduce stress levels will help us take control of our daily lives.

Quotes to Take back control

Life has a way of bringing problems to us all and sometimes our situation is out of our control.  However, the way we deal with problems when they arise is in our control.  Unnecessary stress and worry can rob us of peace and happiness but you can control how the problems affect you mentally.

I love these Sue – and they remind me of the quote backgrounds I used for my Enough Quotes a couple of weeks ago. I love quotes and being in a place of feeling that life isn’t out of control is so important – I’ve pinned some of them too x

That is great! Most people only say when life is not so good so it is lovely and positive to hear from someone who feels their life is wonderful – inspiring!

Sometimes we can hear these things a million times, but only one way it clicks. I like that people keep sharing that we are in control of things – because you never know which post will be the one where it clicks with someone.

I know Vanessa sometimes it is also easy to tune out if you have heard it before. However, as you say you never know when it will click with someone. Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by.

It certainly does Jacq. Many of us blame others but really we should be in control of our lives and the changes we want to make. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

I so love it when a quote calls to me and some of these did. I am doing a powerful amount of learning right now (and have been since 2015 really) as my transition from life as I knew it to life as it is was/is accompanied by enormous levels of stress. However, I am a teacher by nature and therefore a natural learner too! Some of the people I read who are helping me on my journey I have written about on the blog but your words are reminding me that I could do an update or three of the resources I have found good! Thanks for linking up for #lifethisweek 4/52 and for your consistent support and connecting regularly! Denyse
