Self-Discovery and Challenge Yourself

Life becomes boring we find ourselves in a Rut, fear of change stops us from doing anything about itClick To Tweet

For years you may have been trying to juggle different roles such as wife, partner, mother, carer, employee, or even a management role. This doesn’t give you much time to discover who you really are and what you want from life.

We become comfortable with our life.  Even if we do want to change WE FEAR CHANGING because we aren’t sure of the outcome.

We keep ignoring the little voice in our head that pipes up from time to time asking –IS THIS ALL THERE IS?’

Some of us may feel we have lost our identity along the way.  Think of the times you have been introduced as someone’s wife or mother or daughter rather than as an individual in your own right.

The time comes and children fly from the nest to live their own lives. We aren’t so busy with our careers; we still have that nagging little voice that seems to become more frequent and louder.

It’s funny how major life events in women’s lives threaten our identities, like retirement or having our first child. I’ve been there with both of those ideals and came out the other side kicking and screaming! Great points! Tweeted and flipped to my Flipboard Magazine “Self-Improvement.” 🙂

Thanks for sharing Terri and lovely to hear from you. I know what you mean about major life events, like you I’ve experienced children and retirement. Both I was a little unsure about that’s for sure.
