5 ways to celebrate your life today

If you follow my blog you will know that the theme for August is Celebrate Life Now! I’m turning 60 this month and I want you to be part of my celebrations and also to celebrate YOUR LIFE!

Sometimes we think that celebrations have to be grand affairs with champagne, balloons and lots of fanfare.  Sure, that is fun and we all need these types of ways to celebrate, however, WE CAN CELEBRATE LIFE EVERYDAY in small ways.

5 ways to celebrate your life today

5 ways to celebrate your life today

Wake each morning with a grateful heart

I’ve seen this quote often and it reminds me that starting each day with gratitude is a positive way to set up our day.  We need to remind ourselves that we do have good things in our lives and be grateful for that.  What are you grateful for today?

Embrace the day

Open your heart and mind and look forward to the possibilities that the day can bring.

Indulge yourself

Whether it be your favourite meal, a glass of wine or relaxing in a bubble bath.  Take time to indulge yourself and feel good about it.

Start writing your life story

I’ve often thought about writing my life story down for my children and grandchildren.  Not because I have necessarily achieve great success but just for them to know who I am and to give them memories to treasure.  We all have a story to tell, even if we don’t think it is special – it will be to someone.

Spend time with family and friends

Family and friends are certainly an important part of our lives and certainly worth celebrating.  Plan to spend time with family and friends and enjoy their company and the special place they hold in your heart.

Why not celebrate your life not only today but each day? – You are worth it!

Happy Friday, Sue! I like your new site design. I do celebrate 4 out of the 5 ways that you mentioned. I haven’t started writing my life story yet, although my blog is capturing moments in my life.

I’m kind of looking at my blog as writing my story – hopefully (if the internet doesn’t burst into flame and die one day) it’ll be there for generations to come and they can get a glimpse of my life and “meet” me 🙂

Hi Leanne, yes I’ve been looking at my blog that way too. I hope that it will be there in the future otherwise there are a few posts I would like to print off and keep.

Great suggestions and I love that you’re celebrating your entire birthday month. I usually only celebrate a birthday week. But I think I like this whole birthday month concept!

Well I’m hoping that everyone will celebrate their life every day Jennifer so I’m trying to help us get into the habit of Celebration! Have a great weekend xx

Hi Sue, I love the idea of simple little celebrations every day. I am not big on having a lot of huge celebrations, so that’s a good thing! I hope you are planning a really fabulous birthday month!

Hi Michele, my daughter and husband are planning a small party for my birthday. It won’t be huge but we are off to Spain in October so that is part of my birthday present. Have a lovely weekend. xx
