So here we are at the beginning of the A to Z Guide to Thriving in Life and what better way to start than with ‘A’ is for Ageless Attitude and taking an Audit of your Life.
Before you can think of taking the audit you really need to also address your ATTITUDE. Are you prepared to honestly audit your life and then commit to making changes that may be required?
Our ATTITUDE to anything in life can make or break whatever we hope to achieve. You can find support but ultimately your attitude and commitment is in your power.
You have the choice to Thrive or to Stagnate – which will you choose?
Having An Ageless Attitude
Focusing on the number rather than life can affect our attitude to how we live and what we do with our lives.
Let’s throw out the word ‘age’ and replace with ‘ageless’. When we use the word ‘age’ we immediately throw barriers up or are perceived in a certain way. People may say ‘good for your age’ – but we shouldn’t be defined by that. It is our attitude to life that defines us, not how many years we have been on this planet.
an official inspection of an organization’s accounts, typically by an independent body.“audits can’t be expected to detect every fraud”
However, when I started digging into synonyms of the word audit, I found words such as ‘inspection, survey, scrutiny, evaluation, dissection. But I also found positive words such as flourishing, blooming, develop, growth, shine, succeed.
We audit our personal finances and make sure they are healthy and enough to provide a comfortable lifestyle. We audit practical areas such as electricity or telephone accounts to ensure we are getting the best deal or there are no erroneous charges.
BUT…… Have you thought about taking an Audit of your Life? By this I mean, taking the time to actually consider your life by evaluation and dissection of where you are currently and where you would like to see yourself and how you feel your life should be.
I recently learned about the term “life audit’ whilst reading the THRIVE journal which my daughter had given me as a gift.

Taking an Audit of your Life
So what is a Life Audit and why should you do one?
A life audit is all about checking in with yourself and really delving into what is happening in your life right now. That includes your physical, mental and spiritual state. There are three steps to the audit:
1. List your dreams and goals
2. Time to see what areas of your life are important to you – write down how much time you spend on the different areas in your life.
3. Finally set your intention to achieve your goals and dreams
You can refer to my previous post Thriving with the right mindset which refers to each of the three steps above in more detail.
Undertaking a Life Audit will give you an opportunity to see exactly where you are in life and what you might need to change if you aren’t satisfied with your direction.
In order to Thrive in Life we need to know where we are, what we want and how we will get there. We also need to commit to making it happen.
