I was recently asked by Millers ,’Seeing Me Project’ to write a series about Midlife for the month of August. Usually, I contribute an article monthly but on this occasion they wanted me to submit a series each week for 5 weeks.
The series is titled ‘August – The Month for Midlife Matters’ and in each article I will be writing about matters which I feel are important to women of Midlife. I will be covering topics covering health, fitness, taking a journey of self-discovery and also talking about reinventing ourselves and if we really need to.

Be a Midlife Trail Blazer and Stop Treading Water
Wow can you believe it is August already? We will soon be shopping for the festive season and another year will be over.
Midlife is a little like that – one moment we are young and starting on our journey of life, and then in what seems a split second, we are at Midlife.
NO NEED TO PANIC!
Midlife can be such a wonderful time of life however it is your ATTITUDE that will determine whether you make the most of it or just give up and tread water in our ‘comfort zone.’
So for my contribution to The Seeing Me Project, the month of August will be devoted to writing about Midlife Matters.
‘Midlife Matters’ has two meanings for me:
Firstly, it means that being a Midlife 40+ woman still matters in this world. Although I am surprised that there are still some women who question their relevance. They feel they have lost their identity and feel ‘invisible’ because they are growing older.
