Over the last few months I have been involved in two series about Women and Midlife. I am delighted to be part of the ‘Between the Lines’ series which is a project showcasing women of 50+ and their thoughts on blogging and midlife.
The project is the brainchild of Katherine from Katherine’s Corner and each Tuesday for 10 weeks, Katherine will be featuring a different group of amazing women who share their thoughts on this fabulous time of life!#midlife is for Celebration not Hibernation - so start celebrating this fabulous phase of life.Click To Tweet
For those of you who know me and those who don’t, I have embraced midlife with gusto. Since taking early retirement, I started a blog and started living! When I took early retirement to spend time with my husband I found that I had so much time on my hands!!! It actually played on my mind and I’d always had in the back of my mind that I would love to write a blog about being 50+ and encouraging women to live the life they want. So of course, I started the blog Sizzling Towards Sixty and haven’t looked back.I'm all about finding balance in life, being active with running and PT and enjoying each day.Click To Tweet
My tagline is ‘Riding the Wave of Midlife, with positivity, fun and laughter’. It is no use giving up on life once we reach a certain age. Who wants to be a grumpy old woman – I certainly don’t!
Life is meant to be lived and I’m discovering through blogging, that there are so many women out there who are doing just that! I’ve even had them write guests posts for me as their lives are so fascinating. Pop over to my website and take a look.
I’m passionate about living a healthy and happy lifestyle and that is why I started my #couchpotatotofabfit Facebook group and also my A to Z Guide to a Healthier, Happier Lifestyle course.
Do I know all the answers? No! Of course not! Who does? It is all just a matter of doing our best and going for it!
Since starting blogging just over 12 months ago, I have met some fabulous women from all over the world. I love connecting with them, learning from them and have developed ‘virtual’ friendships.
Over the last 12 months I’ve learned that I do have a voice, that blogging takes patience and also that it can take over your life if you let it!
