It is Spring! Time for New Beginnings

Spring

It is Springtime!  Winter has been vanquished for another year and the air is full of anticipation. Summer will soon be on it’s way.

The cooler days of winter are gone and the feeling of renewal is here – Spring has arrived!  Now I’m a Spring or Autumn person.  I love the ‘gentler’ seasons and although I don’t really experience very cold winters, where I live, Summer is HOT!!!

Springtime always makes me feel hopeful and energetic.  I feel like getting into new projects, ‘spring cleaning’ my wardrobe, pantry, home and also my life.

I love making changes in my life during Spring.  It is a time to declutter physically and mentally.  It is a time to feel free and excited about the future and what possibilities are ahead if we just open our minds.

It is a great time to enjoy the outdoors.  I love the crisp mornings and then beautiful warm, sunny days.  The perfume from gardens blooming, the intense blueness of the sky, the warmth of the sunshine, the soft breeze on my face.

It is Spring! Time for new beginnings and possibilities!

Springtime brings different fruits, vegetables and delicious spring lamb roasts which are in season giving us the opportunity to try new recipes.

“Springtime makes me feel alive!”

Spring(1)

I’d like to share some of my favourite things I love to do in Springtime

  1. Enjoy the Sunshine – just feeling the sun on your face brings peace and happiness
  2. Exercise – the cool, dark, short days of winter have gone and it is refreshing to exercise outdoors without the winter chills.
  3. Picnic in the Park – relaxing outdoors is a great stress reliever
  4. Walk by the River or the Beach – I love listening to the water lapping or the ocean waves rolling onto the beach
  5. Try new foods that are in season – fresh, healthy and tasty
  6. Plan new Dreams – we should never stop dreaming and springtime is a time for renewal
  7. Read a book in the afternoon sunshine – take time out to read something that doesn’t require too much thinking
  8. Appreciate nature –  the perfumes from the blossoms and flowers, the bees buzzing and birds chirping happy that winter has gone.  Appreciating the sense of ‘just being’
  9. Catch up with family & friends – springtime bbq’s or lazy brunches and spending quality time with family and friends.
  10. Spoil myself with a facial or massage

“What will you do this Spring to make your dreams a reality?

I’m excited about fall because it’s my favorite season. I simply love the colors.
Sue, I’d like to thank you again for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award. My post is up today.
    Thank you!

Yes I love the colours of autumn. You deserve the recognition Deb as you work so hard even when you don’t feel well. Take care x

It’s full on fall here and rapidly approaching winter. You’ve made me anxious for the coming spring 🙂

Oh I also love autumn (fall) here although where I live in Brisbane, the climate is temperate and the winters are sunny and clear and not too cold. I’ve been to the US in Fall and Winter and do love the cold weather, although I suppose if it was every year I might not enjoy it as much. Thanks for stopping by and cuddle up in front of the fire! 🙂

Love it. Growing up in a mild climate, the first time I truly appreciated spring was after spending my first winter in Denver, where it snowed every week from December until April. I had never listed for it until then.

    Great post.

Yes Tara, snow sounds romantic but I think if you had to live with it for more than a week it would be hard going! I’m glad you enjoyed the post and always appreciate your feedback. Hope your plans are going well.

I love Spring too – it keeps starting here and then taking a step backwards, but this weekend is looking beautiful and I plan to get out for a walk and to enjoy some of the same things you listed (no running for me though!) Lovely post Sue 🙂

Thanks Leanne. Spring has that special feel of anticipation and new beginnings. We have had some hot days already in Queensland so it might be a long hot summer!

Spring is pleasant, isn’t it? It’s Autumn where I live. 🙂

Yes Vinitha it is pleasant although autumn is beautiful with the changing colours of the leaves. Have a lovely day!

Yes Spring is one of my favourite times of the year Mackenzie. The last few weeks have not been great personally, but the beautiful spring days certainly help lift my mood. Thanks for #Fridayreflections and for your comment.

As I age I am finding myself enjoying the seasons of life more than I used to and I appreciate your thoughts on things that we should stop and enjoy. Thanks for dropping your post at FTAF!

Yes Becky it is good for us to stop and enjoy life – something I have struggled with but am finally coming to terms with. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day. x
