#MicrosteppinginMay Plank Challenge

We are into the last week of #MicrosteppinginMay. Have you made any microsteps towards your goal or achieving healthier habits? I hope you have been inspired by my guests and posts to work towards making changes in your life one step at a time.

Let’s do a challenge to finish the month stronger and healthier!

The #MicrosteppinginMay Plank Challenge

Each day this week, join me to build our core strength one plank at a time.  Start holding a plank for 10 seconds and each day add a little longer.  Planks are a great way to build our core strength which is so important for a strong body as we age.  Pop over to the Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyond Facebook Group and join the challenge.

Here is a link to a youtube video for beginners that explains How to do a Plank correctly.

The benefits of incorporating a Plank into your workouts?

A plank is something that many people find difficult at first but it has so many benefits to building a healthier and stronger body.

So will you join me? Starting Saturday 25th May until Friday 31st June. Each day I will be posting in the FB Group to remind you and also to read your achievements. It isn’t a competition but a goal that you can work towards. Pop over and join the Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyond Facebook Group and be part of the Challenge to improve your core!

NOTE: IF YOU DO HAVE BACK PROBLEMS OR OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES GET THE OKAY FROM YOUR DOCTOR OR PROFESSIONAL BEFORE STARTING ANY NEW EXERCISE.

I’ve been amazed watching my baby granddaughter do planks- without even knowing what she’s doing! I’m not that good at planks for too long but know they’re very good for the core! You’re always so full of information for us, so many thanks, it’s much appreciated.

Hi Sue, Planks are definitely a challenge. I have been consistent with my daily pushups all of May. Some of the information on “form” says to begin with a plank. I will give you my micro stepping summary at the end of the month. Great motiving posts!
