There is a program that has been on television lately called ‘This time next year’.
Although I’ve only caught snippets of the program, the obvious point is that people want to make major changes or achieve major goals over the next year. Some would like to lose weight, some who have cancer are wanting to tick off as much of their bucket list as they can. One person in a wheelchair wanted to walk down the aisle for her wedding. It started me thinking – is there something big I really want to achieve ‘this time next year’?
Usually I’m writing about being present in the moment and enjoying life now and I still believe this is so important to our happiness.
However, as a person who is driven and now in a new decade after recently turning 60, I turned my thoughts to what I feel the phrase ‘this time next year’ means to me. I have to be honest and say I’m not really sure at this point. Perhaps writing about it during the month will clear my thoughts on the subject.
One thing I do know, is that I want to be as fit, healthy and happy as I am today.
If you read my blog you will notice that over the last few months I’ve been writing and exploring various themes and how they affect our lives.
For September, I will be having guests write their thoughts on what ‘this time next year’ means to them. Each Thursday I will be introducing you to a new guest and I’m excited to share their thoughts with you all. I’ve also recently started a course, “A Year to Clear what is holding you back” so I will be sharing my learnings with you.
It is Springtime in Australia, so that is always a time for new beginnings and fresh starts. Perhaps there is some burning ambition within you that you want to achieve?
