Well I made it! I completed Week 4 #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas and I have to say that this challenge certainly helped reduce the stress leading up to Christmas. I managed to complete all of the prompts except my WIP list of 5 things that make me happy and which I want to commit to in 2019. That will need some thought but I’ve made a start!
Thank you to all of you who have followed #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas.
A big shout out to Debbie Harris from Deb’s World who participated each day with me. I always looked forward to her interpretation of the prompts and she inspired me many times.
Thank you also to Donna Connolly from Retirement Reflections who always left me an encouraging comment on each post.
Day 22 – Include 5 mini meditations during your day
It is so easy in these last few days to let the pressures build up. Today, I made sure that several times throughout the day, I stopped and took a moment to breathe and be present in the moment to clear my mind. I started my day with a quiet coffee in my favourite Christmas mug.
Day 23 – Create new memories
This Christmas was the last family get together at our home. We will be selling my MIL’s home, where we live and won’t be able to host future Christmas lunches. Although a bitter/sweet time, we also created new memories with the addition of my gorgeous grandson, Elliot who is 7 months old.
Day 24 – Share a moment with a special person in your life
My husband is my greatest supporter and we make a wonderful team. As we were hosting two lunches this year, our special Christmas Eve dinner was put on hold. Although, it was a busy time, we still found time to exchange gifts and take a moment to appreciate our special relationship. My husband is difficult to buy for so I decided that I would make part of his gift – some of my Mini Christmas Pudding Truffles and my homemade, Chocolate Mocha Ice Cream.
Day 25 – Celebrate You!
Today was a day to celebrate ME! I’ve prepared and planned for two Christmas events and today was such a lovely day. We spend so much time thinking of others that it was good for me to take a moment and actually feel good about myself and the person I am.
May I take this opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful support you give to me and Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyond. I wish you and your family a very Happy and Healthy New Year and look forward to more ‘sizzling’ and ‘thriving’ with you in 2019!
